General Comments

I read with interest the comments and reviews on the AIDS Wall. I hadn't heard of this project and in my mind I had something completely different towhat I finally saw. I was very disappointed by two things:

1) AIDS is a huge issue, it is an epidemic. The "wall" in its constructionis rather pathetic. I had imagined a large expanse of wall boldy depicting and discussing AIDS in Zimbabwe.

2) Although there is a public walk-way fairly close to the AIDS Wall, myimpression was that the wall was "hidden". This serves to reinforce thesecrecy and unwillingness to make debate on AIDS very public. The Galleryalmost needs to erect signs that say "AIDS Wall this way". A vendor who tried to sell me a "smiling hippo" said and I quote "this should be on FirstStreet next to the caravan so more people see it and talk about AIDS" unquote. What is the motivation for tucking it away? Bev Clark

"It is always good for people to express their opinions". Ros Byrne
